During the art activity a conversation with children of Camp 7 Elementary School in the context of safe space and violence it draws a line between contemporary social belief and awareness of what violence looks like quoting “I know what pain and fear is… but no one listens to me because I am just a child.” “When I become bigger only then, I will be taken seriously and my father and mother will listen to me.” The child narrative and other children who participated in the drawing contest redefine the level of awareness in social issues. Yes, children may be playful but being playful doesn’t mean that children are not affected nor do not understand the situation they were in.
